C'est le \u201c Mois des Saints Populaires \u201d et presque toutes les villes et tous les villages organisent un festival pour en honorer un. Saint Antoine, Saint Jean (le Baptiste) et Saint Pierre sont les t\u00eates d'affiche, mais il y en a beaucoup d'autres, surtout dans les petits villages.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2d74bc7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2d74bc7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L'une des plus anciennes est la Festas de S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o de Braga, qui dure huit jours. Alors que cette f\u00eate est enti\u00e8rement 13<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Si\u00e8cle m\u00e9di\u00e9val, les rituels qu'il incorpore remontent beaucoup plus loin dans le temps. J'en ai parl\u00e9 dans d'autres revues (voir Entrudo de Lavarim), mais ce festival en particulier conserve de tr\u00e8s anciennes coutumes de la Saint-Jean \u2013 feu, danse, rituels de fertilit\u00e9 et offrandes pour des r\u00e9coltes abondantes. Donc, si vous pensez \u00e0 des racines pa\u00efennes, vous aurez raison. C'est un exemple classique de la fa\u00e7on dont les anciennes traditions de la Saint-Jean ont \u00e9t\u00e9 absorb\u00e9es par les c\u00e9l\u00e9brations chr\u00e9tiennes. data-id=\"14c512b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les festivals de diff\u00e9rents saints dans diff\u00e9rentes villes ont des ambiances et des exp\u00e9riences diff\u00e9rentes. Lisbonne est synonyme de sardines, de bi\u00e8re et de danse dans les rues de l'Alfama. Porto, quant \u00e0 elle, est synonyme de feux d'artifice sur le pont se refl\u00e9tant dans le fleuve Douro et illuminant son paysage urbain \u00e0 couper le souffle.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cm-braga.pt\/en\/0101\/conhecer\/posto-de-turismo\">Braga<\/a> tout cela tourne autour des g\u00e9ants, ou comme ils les appellent, les Gigantones Cabe\u00e7udos (les grosses t\u00eates). Braga est \u00e9galement \u00e0 environ 90 minutes de Tiny Escape, ce qui permet de s'y rendre facilement.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les g\u00e9ants de procession sont apparus pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans les f\u00eates religieuses portugaises durant le 13e si\u00e8cle.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> si\u00e8cle. Ils sont en papier m\u00e2ch\u00e9 vivement peint, mont\u00e9s sur un cadre en bois et port\u00e9s sur les \u00e9paules d'une personne. Cela peut sembler simple, mais croyez-moi, ils sont impressionnants lorsqu'ils vous dominent.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c0 l'origine, les g\u00e9ants \u00e9taient des figures religieuses. Au fil du temps, ils ont \u00e9volu\u00e9 pour inclure :\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Royaut\u00e9<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Types locaux (comme un fermier rustique)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Personnages comiques ou espi\u00e8gles<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00e9ros locaux<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monstres<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En regardant ces rois et reines interagir, je n'ai pu m'emp\u00eacher de penser aux troupes d'acteurs itin\u00e9rantes de Game of Thrones. Elles \u00e9taient s\u00e9rieuses sur le th\u00e8me mais lourdes de satire et d'humour. C'est la capitale spirituelle du nord du Portugal depuis plus de 1000 ans. Elle est parfois appel\u00e9e la Rome portugaise et a historiquement eu un r\u00e9el pouvoir. Sa f\u00eate est l'une des plus anciennes et donc le m\u00e9lange de foi, de feux de joie, de saints et de f\u00eates \u00e9tait en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 assez radical. Les f\u00eatards mangeurs de sardines de Lisbonne et les spectateurs de feux d'artifice de Porto doivent remercier Braga pour les f\u00eates de saints
